Sardines are a great choice for Omega 3! Because they are small, they do not accumulate many toxins including mercury, PCB's and lead; this incorporates, also, the Pink salmon and Chinook salmon, herring, and Hoki, which could be higher in Omega 3. You should not only consider the Omega 3 in fish but if the fish contains toxins.

Sardines are an excellent choice of omega 3 fatty acids...but only if you manage to eat the non-canned variety. Like with all canned foods, canned sardines are loaded with near-comical amounts of sodium. Too much sodium is both bad for your heart and your blood pressure, yes? Not even the powers of omega 3 can save you from sodium overdose.
