I would definitely recommend pre-marital counseling. Having a pastor or minister who can guide you through things to consider- such as finances, responsibilities, sex, in-laws, expectations. It's all important to have a neutral third party to guide you through some of these tough subjects. I know it truly helped my husband and I start off on the same page.

Anyone in a stable relationship; friends, parents, co-workers. There's a lot of advice out there and not all of it will work in your relationship because you are unique. It's best to have a lot of sources to talk to. After all, you don't actually have to take all the advice.

You might consider seeking the counsel of some long married couples and inquire as to how they made their relationships work. Also, talk to divorcees about what exactly went wrong.

One of the best sources for pre-marital advice would be your married friends or relatives. Talk to those who are in good married relationships and have been for many years.
