Yes, but it depends on the nature of the elevation. Chronically high calcium levels may be treated with an adaptation in diet, but an acute elevation may be treated with chelation.

High calcium level is treatable by three methods: fluids to flush out excess calcium, bisphosphonates (intravenous or tablet), and calcitonin injection to stop breadkown of bone.

Yes. Avoid ingesting any iodide rich foods such as spinach, or other green leafy vegetables. This will reduce the absorption of calcium in your system. Also, avois when possible ingesting any dairy products as these are obviously loaded with calcium. The objective is to reduce calcification of the joints when treating high calcium levels.

That depends on the reason why you have hypercalcemia. The most frequent cause is hyperparathyroidism, and the only treatment is to surgically remove the parathyroid gland that is enlarged.
