Are all insects six-legged?

Yes. One of the defining characteristics of an insect is that it must have six legs. Tiny creatures that have more or less are given different names. Such as the eight legged creature, which is an arachnid. This means that many little "bugs" that we call insects by nature, truly have a different name.

Yes. An insect is an arthropod with three body sections, head thorax and abdomen; three pairs of jointed legs (six legs),compound eyes and two antenna. Anything not having those is not an insect by definition.

All the insects are not six-legged. The centepede has 100 legs, mosquitoes have more than six legs and insects like bed bugs have more than six legs. It is generally known that all insects are six-legged but it is not true when the above examples are thoroughly examined

No surely not all the insects are six legged. Because many insects are available with three leg,four leg,even eight legs and etc.. Honey bee,ant,barberry earth warm are non legged insects only.
