If there are nests in the branches, it could be tent caterpillars. If the damage is more to the leaves borers, aphids, and spider mites could be the problem. Your best bet is to take a photo or sample to your local garden store for identification and treatment.

Yes. You should go to a hardwear or department store and buy some insect killer/repelant. Its a beautiful tree and I am sure you dont want to watch it die. Spray the insect killer around the root of tree.

Insects which bore into the tree, called borers, can damage the tree and make it sick. They cause sap to leak from the tree and create noticable swelling.

Well, bed bugs and insecticides can damage the weeping tree. You want to avoid arachnids at all costs. To remove them, you should use all types of insect removal sprays. I recommend using Raid on a regular basis to keep the bugs away from your plants. You don't want them to eat your tree.

Weeping Higan Cherry Trees are a beautiful ornamental flowering cherry tree, but they do need a lot of care and maintenance.
