Will tramadol show up on a drug test?

I am being tested for a potential job and am worried that the tramadol will prevent me from getting the job.

It would depend on exactly what types of drugs that you are being tested for, however, since Tramadol is not an opiate drug, it should not show up on any drug test. Most drug tests employers submit to potential employees only test for Amphetamines, Cannabinoids, Opiates, Cocaine, and Phencyclidine (known as PCP) -- You should have nothing to worry about.

Yes, it will show up as an opiate, which is the chemical group it belongs to, although depending on the type of test and on its sensibility the results may variate.

Yes, tramadol is a synthetic opioid and should appear on a standard urine screening test. As part of the screening process you should be asked if you are taking any potential medications that will interfere with the test and you would have to reveal it then.
