Does it seem like the most logical, sensible thing would be to speak to your physician instead of soliciting information from a bunch of untrained people who have no information about you or your pregnancy?

It depends on your doctor. Some doctors today will induce because at 37 weeks the baby can survive on the outside with no problem. Most women (myself included) at 37 weeks was miserable just because of the weight of the baby on your body. I would talk to your doctor about it.

They may or may not, depending on your doctor and your and your baby's health. There are many safe depression medications available to pregnant women, plus depression during pregnancy is also linked to higher risk of PPD. It would be a good idea to discuss this with your doctor.
