No its not compatible. MS office 2007 and higher versions are only supported by vista 32. To make MS office 2000 or 2003 compatible registry changes should be made.

It should work because they are both Microsoft created programs. Although the office 2000 suite is a bit old, when you run in compatibility mode you should have no problem to access all your Office 2000 applications. However i recommend you invest in a new Office version because this one is obsolete.
