While marijuana is not legal at the moment, it is mainly remaining illegal because of the tremendous social stigma behind its name and the reputation it has among many. Perhaps when the next generation comes of age, a more rational approach to law could make marijuana legal.

It is legal some places when it is used for medical purposes. There are some people and certain states that are working on making it worldwide. However, it would only be for medical purposes.

The only reason marijuana is not legal is because we have no way of telling if a person has smoked marijuana in the last hour and is still high, or if it was two weeks ago and they are now sober.

I don't think marijuana will ever be legal worldwide. Maybe some countries will adopt laws that will legalize marijuana in the whole country or parts of it, but worldwide it won't happen. Marijuana has strong effects, and global usage can cause serious deterioration of the societies.

In the the 5,000 years of recorded recreational use of marijuana it has only been illegal of 1% of that time, in my opinion it is only a matter of time before the incorrect laws on marijuana are removed
