Yes and no. Most people will tell you that kidney stones are a disqualifier, but there are cases in which a waiver was issued. This requires records/input/history/statements from your physician as well as a review by the MEPS physician. The MEPS is the stumbling block as the review is subjective and can vary from one doc to another.

Kidney stones are generally a disqualifier, but you can request a waiver. The approval for a waiver will depend on your history, frequency of the problem, treatments (if any) you've had, letters from your physicians, etc. Be totally truthful with the recruiter and at the MEPS for the best results.

Check with a recruiter from the service you are interested in. They can tell you if kidney stones will disqualify you from military service, or just from certain career fields. I had kidney stones for many years while on active duty, but mine started after I went on active duty.
