Question by  Jojoblue (468)

Will it hurt my car if I use wheels with different sizes?

I would like to put larger wheels on the back of my car than I have on the front to raise the rear.

yes it will, idealy when a car is made the wheel size picked, is the best size for the car to operate with no problems. by increasing the size of the rear tires you can change the handling and stability of the car. as well as increased tire and rim size will cause damage to the rear suspension

Changing the size of wheels can impact the accuracy of the speedometer and odometer. Different sized wheels on an AWD/4WD vehicle can cause serious damage and should NEVER be done.

There is no big issue. It was a popular trend for hot rodders. Just make sure the rearend is adjusted for wheel diameter or your speedo will be off.

Yes, if you do this on certain cars it could hurt the performance of the car. Some cars will become unstable and will not be able to handle the different sizes.
