In general, no it will not work with other TVs. The only exception to this is if the remote is a programmable universal remote.

The only way an Emerson remote control will work with other TV's is if it is a universal remote and can be programmed to work different Tv sets. More than likely it will only work the TV it came with.

The Emerson remote will work 2 other brands of television unless its an Universal type and then it will work most brands, The 2 brands are Symphonic and Sylvania and only if the were manufactured after 1998, but may not work all functions offered.
