Acrylic nails may harm your real nails in the short term, but they will not harm the long term health of your nails. Immediately after removal of the acrylic nails, your nails may not be in great shape. However, they will grow back soon.

Yes, they will. But, if they are done right there won't be that much damage. The nail tech is not supposed to file your real nail with the nail drill.

Unfortunately, yes. Acrylic nails are awful hard on real nails, and there is no way of taking them off that will not peal layers of the actual nail with the fake one. There are certain things you can do to make this less likely and easier on the nails.

If you wear acrylic nails it makes your real nails soft and brittle. While the looks of the artificial nails is nice, better to grow your own.

Acrylic nails will only harm your nails is you tear the acrylic nail off of your real nail. It peels off layers of your real nail but eventually it will heal back the way it was.

Acrylic nails can be very bad for your real nails. In particular, you have to be cautious when you are removing them. If you don't do so properly you may cause real harm to your nails.

They will, but there is no reason that your nails can't recover from that harm. In 6-8 weeks you will have a brand new nail bed.
