Will a lovebird's beak grow back?

Yes and no. It depends on the nature of the damage, how close to the body the injury occurred and the age of the bird. In general, the closer to the nasal passages the wound is, the less likely it will completely heal. Trimming damage is common with small birds and care must be taken with them.

A lovebird can regenerate beakĀ“s portion but not complete, I used to breed Agaporni (lovebirds) and they fight a lot and lose the beak, several number dies but those who survive, develope a little beak, about 1/2 inch, enough to eat seeds and drink water. of course is uggly but life marching on anyways.
