If your mother won't let you do anything, she may have an issue trusting you. An open conversation where you can both express your fears and wishes may help you each to see the other person's point of view. Try showing her that you are a trustworthy individual in your everyday life, as well.

As hard as it may be to hear your mom has your best interest in mind and it could be that you are not old enough or responsible enough to do the things you desire.

Ask yourself if you have done anything to lose her trust. Give it time and perhaps in time she will gradually begin to give you a chance to earn her trust back. If it is not a matter of trust, it is probably because your mom has her own issues and unfortunately she has to resolve her own issues first

Some parents are simply just worry warts. Talk to your mother and tell her you would like to do things. Try to get her to understand.
