Why is the oil temperature light flashing in my car?

Check your oil level with you dipstick at the next stop, this is most likely the oil pressure light, not the temperature light, and that usually comes on if there's too little oil. Oil temperature is controlled by the radiator and deals with the amount of antifreeze in the engine. This should be checked as well as one is low.

Maybe your car is overheating? If so, there might be a problem with the ventilation. All the heat from the car might not be getting out like it should be.
