It is different because the Chinese calendar bases itself on the positions of the moon as well as the sun. It has ~354 days per standard non-leap year, so no.

Many Asian countries follow a lunar calendar. It is used to note important Asian holidays. Traditionally, the Chinese New Year falls sometime in February and lasts till the following February. Each year is named for a corresponding figure, for example the year 2010 is the year of the Tiger and alternatively a Yin or Yang year.
