your water heater is leaking on the floor because one of two things one it has a rupture or two there is a line that has rusted to the point of degeneration either way you may need a new water heater you can't see where it is leaking because it is enclosed within insulation and the outer casing.

There are two possibilities. A joint in one of the pipes has become corroded and is leaking. Or, due to hard water, the tank itself has started to rust through.

Its probably time for a new one. If they leak from the inside there is nothing you can do about it but get a new one.

The water heater can be leaking because a hose busted. If you can't see exactly where the water is coming from turn off the water supply and piolet light.

There must be a very small opening or the joints in the pipe connections are not firm enough to resist the pressure.
