A thyroid inflammation may elevate your thyroid or it may become elevated because a treatment to fix an underactive thyroid went haywire. There are other medical treatments that can upset the thyroid balance. Thyroid conditions usually affect more women than men. The elevated thyroid levels can be successfully treated as well.
