If it clicks after the trauma has healed, especially while you breathe, it means that the bone either hasn't fully healed or it did not heal completely properly. The clicks could be due to the rib fragments or cartilage rubbing against each other. Usually this is not a major problem that is life-threatening.

There may be some cartilage tears or bone movement that occurred as a result of the trauma. You should definitely speak to your doctor about this, as any pain or discomfort is abnormal.

It is not the rib as much as the muscle around it. Muscle can build up some pockets of lactic acid and when you move a certain way, out it comes as a click.

The cause might be the incomplete healing of your rib following trauma. You might also have a traumatic hematoma (coagulated blood collection) pressing on your rib. Visit your doctor for a X-ray scan.

this is a very common to have clicking even after healing this is mainly due to the friction caused in that area but nothing to worry about this

You might have some scarring in the cartilage of the ribcage. If it's painful I suggest seeing your primary physician to see if anything is really wrong.

The internet is not the place to try and find an answer to your worries. Call your doctor and ask him to explain what is going on until YOU understand.
