Pool water typically will turn green in absence of chlorine or when the levels of chlorine and or other fluids is not accurate.

Do you have trees around your pool?This is due to the reflection of the sky and trees around the pool.The depth reflects water to look green.

The main reason why your pool water could be green is the proliferation of microscopic algae. You have to add some chemicals to the water to avoid algae.
