Water dispensers will stop working when the main water line becomes clogged. While there is a filtration system on the dispenser unit, over time it's main water line can become clogged. Check to see that the line is always free of any blockage.

Maytag water dispenser can stop working for several reasons. Possible examples are overheating, problems with old part or the water dispenser simply reaching the end of its recommended usage date.
