The suction line temperature is below outdoor dew point. Most manufacturers do not insulate the suction line once it enters the condensing unit. Water condenses on the line and the top of the compressor and is usually evaporated by the condensor air flow, but not always. If the unit is undercharged, ice could form and cause excess water.
The HVAC condenser may be dripping because it is leaking condensation from it. You should have it checked by a certified HVAC professional. while they are out, you should have them perform a whole system check to weed out any potential future problems. They can give you a quote to replace the condenser if neccessary.
