Why is my gas furnace not blowing warm air even though the pilot is burning and the fan is blowing?

The filter might be dirty and should be changed a couple times a year. The thermostat might also be defective or set incorrectly. Also you need to decide if you want the blower running all the time. It will blow cold some of the time if it's set that way.

Check the furnaces duct systems to see if they're clogged or not. If the furnace is not blowing any air through, it could be that the air can't get out.

The pilot won't heat. Look for a safety or summer switch. This shuts off the power to the gas valve.

Check if the burners are igniting when the temperature is below the level set on the thermostat. Turn your thermostat way up and see if the pilot ignites the burners. If the burners ignite, then your hot air is being blocked and you need to have your ducts checked. If not, you have a gas issue. Call a professional.
