Your fish water could be turning green beause you might have alot of light getting in your take and not have alot of current in your tank. Get a good filter.

That is called an algae bloom. Algae has separated into spores and is floating freely in the water. It's how it spreads in nature. It is making the water green because the spores have nowhere to go. Do a partial water change every couple days until the water is clear.

Well this is common for most pond and some aquariums. Water can start to accumulate with algae of not properly maintained. Use chemical and aerate the water to kill it.

It is most likely a chemical imbalance. Either that, or the water is just really dirty and needs to be changed!
