If your ferret is a girl, she could possibly be pregnant. But it also can depend on the age of the ferret. Most animals as they get older seem to become more scenile, and forget what theyre doing so they ust do things they usually wouldn't.

Any time a pet begins to bite, a visit to the vet is in order to ensure that there is no physical cause making the pet uncomfortable and leading to biting behavior. If this is ruled out, try not to pet your ferret after handling food, this may cause it to bite.
