Why is my dog licking her paw?

I think it's all inflamed.

Check the paw for visible signs of pain. Inflammation, splinters, raw pads, etc. Wait awhile and see if she continues to act strangely and call a vet with your question.

That's not enough information to answer the question... You would need to post a photo to an appropriate forum, or better yet, bring your dog to a veterinarian.

If your dog is licking her paw, it is probably due to a cut or tear in the skin or nail. Check the paw carefully for any damage. If there is something embedded in the paw it will need to be removed. If there is a problem with the nail, it will need to be closely trimmed.

licking the paw is common among the pets. If you feel, they are inflamede, better to show him/her to teh doctor. When the paws are dusty too they lick to clear it off.
