There can be many reasons your cat is hissing at you. He could be in pain, so you should take him to the vet to make sure he's completely healthy. He could also be mad about something, so think about if there have been any big changes in his life lately.

Cats hiss when they're annoyed or scared, so, if it hisses at you, you've probably done something that your cat perceived as a threat.

Maybe your cat is feeling sickly. Has it been eating and acting normally otherwise. If this keeps up then you should take it to the vet and have a checkup.

Cats hiss when they are feeling frightened or aggressive. If your cat is fearful of you, perhaps due to some incident between you two or because the cat is in pain from illness or injury it may hiss to warn you away.
