Your car may have a cloged fuel filter or fuel injector. It is also possible your cataletic converter is cloged. There are alot of things that may play a part in this. if theres no mil light start at the fuel filter.

Any car that runs sluggish could have a clogged fuel filter or bad scensors. Have the car hooked up to a diagnostic machine and see if any codes show up.

Check the timing, if that is not it replace the speed control sensor. If that doesn't help, then maybe try a tune up.

Your Buick is chugging because the injectors a clogged up, or your fule pump is cutting out. It might even just be cheap gas. I would take it to a shop soon.

Because all I have to go with is a chugging issue I would have to say that there is a good chance that you bought gas with water in it.

It is probably experiencing a misfire. I would do a tune up and make sure the fuel and ignition system is working properly. Pay special attention to the plugs.

Common causes of chugging or a ride that is not smooth can be poor or incorrect grade of gasoline, need of a tune-up or lack of warmup time. These are easily corrected and can be cheap repairs. Other causes, such as transmission or engine problems could require dealer maintenance.

You need to take it in to have it checked out. The professionals can tell you what is needed to fix it. It could be anything. But get it checked out as soon as possible before it gets really bad. A professional will be able to fix the problem or tell you what is causing it.
