Maybe he has something bothering him, some men will not come right out and tell you what's on their minds. Try talking with him and asking if there is something he'd like to talk to you about.

There could be any number of reasons why he has started to become distant. If you really want to know than simply ask him. It could be something very simple or something you really do not want to hear. Ask him in an honest and straightforward way.

There could be some things going on that he is not ready to talk about. When he is ready to talk just be there to listen.

There may be something going on in is life that he's not ready to share yet. It could be work, holiday stress, family issues, etc.
