It is because of how the margins are set. Go to File - Page Setup and adjust the margin settings. Default is 1" top and bottom & 0. 5" left and right.

All depends on your page settings. In MS-Word set your top and bottom page setting as 1inches or so as per your requirement then problems might solve.
