Chingle Hall and is famous because it is reputed to be England's most haunted house. Originally dating from the mid thirteenth century, Chingle Hall was the birthplace of John Wall in 1620. He was drawn and quartered as a martyr in 1679 and supposedly his head is located somewhere on the property.
