Why does my XBox 360 blink red?

That means that there is something wrong. Depending on how the lights blink tells what the error is. You can look up on the internet what each type of blinking lights mean which error.

You have the dreaded "Red ring of death." I am sorry to say that your XBox 360 is a brick and will need to be serviced by Microsoft. This is a very common problem and is caused by too much heat. Many people report having to send multiple units back to microsoft over the course of a year.

Your XBox 360 is blinking red probably because it has overheated, and the soldering has cracked around some ICs after it cooled back down. Contact Microsoft for help; they will.

Sounds like you're the lucky owner of an 360 that's suffering from the RROD syndrome! the red ring of death! Take it back for a refund!

If your x-box is blinking red lights, you likely have what is called the red ring of death. Basically, a design fault in the x-box that causes the solder on the board to become hot enough to melt and cause the problem. To fix it, either send it back to microsoft or look into a repair kit.

You have probably gotten what the XBox community has called the "Red Ring of Death". The original CPU's that Microsoft put into the XBox 360 would occasionally fail rendering the entire system useless. However, Microsoft will replace your CPU for free if you ship it to them.

When this happens it means there is an error with your Xbox. Most of the time the way to fix it is restart your Xbox. But if you get the red ring of death it will tell you and there is no way to fix it.

This is likely the "Red Ring of Death". Unfortunately, a small percentage of Xbox 360s die in this way. It is not able to be fixed, you will have to purchase a new Xbox 360.

If it is not working you have a fried motherboard iun the x-box. If it still works it is just a power saver light that is making the x-box go into sleep mode.

It could be over heating turn it off and let it cool. Check all plugs to make sure they are connected properly and then restart it.

You have experience the "red ring of death". Look online for how to correct this. However a lot of times it must be sent to Microsoft for repairs.

Well, if it is blinking red, this indicates that there is some sort of defect with your xbox 360. Check it out.
