Why does my koi have a cloudy eye?

It was probably damaged, if you have a pond with rocks or pvc pipe it could have damaged it on there. If it was a bacteria or a problem you would notice it with the other fish or there would be other noticeable problems. Maybe he has glaucoma? In my professional opinion I don't think you need to panic.

Your fish is sick. Fungus is the most likely suspect. You need to go to pet store and buy medicine to fix you fish. Your fish may go blind or die if you don't take the time to get him better.

There is a good chance that your koi damaged its eye when playing. Unfortunately the result is mostly likely that the eye is now blind. Best bet is to take it to a vet to be checked out.

It's a symptoms of distress,off-colour appearance. It is caused by some bacterial infections. Treatments : Change the water,remove it by hand & apply silver nitrate to affected eye.
