Your dog is probably constipated, but could have some swelling that would make bowel movements painful. It would be a good idea to have your dog checked by a vet to make sure of the reason before attempting to treat the problem.

This could be a sign of severe constipation or other internal difficulty; switch his food or go directly to the vet.

It sounds like your dog is in pain when it poops. This isn't normal and it should go to the vet to see what's wrong.

Crying in dogs usually signify pain of some sort. If your dog is doing this during a bowel movement you need to consider the diet of your pet. Alot of dry food without access to water or other liquids (such as gravy) can leave stool dry and hard, which can lead to pain in passing it.
