First make sure she's not developing any sort of eating disorder. If that's definitely not the case, the problem could be any number of other illnesses. Check what other symptoms she has. Digestive illnesses (acute gastritis, colitis, crohn's) can cause a loss of appetite and are pretty serious. The flu, cold, and illnesses causing inflammation or fatigue are other possibilities.

A decreased appetite could be due to several issues, both medical and non-medical. It could be because of peer pressure at school, and the "thin is in." It could also be related to diabetes, depression, or puberty.

She could be having body image issues like usual of girls around that age, if you find this to be true take her to someone she could talk to.

At 14 I would first consider any stress that she may be under. Girls her age can be worried and anxious about things and I would try to determine if this is it. Some common lost of appetite loss would be her diet. She could be eating things that disagree with her system like a lot of milk or sweets.

Make sure no boy is making fun of her calling her fat at school and that now shes not eating to loose weight so that kid wont make fun of her anymore
