Why does my car feel like it is trying to stall?

If it's only when it's idling then it could a number of things such as fouled spark plugs, clogged fuel filter or a bad fuel pump, bad plug wires, a slipping throttle cable, or some electrical component. If it's constantly throughout the entire RPM range then the amount of possibilities increases greatly.

Could be caused by a number of situations. Your fuel pump could be going bad, or you could have a clogged fuel filter. Possibly you have an ignition problem. You may need a new ignition module, or distributor.

because you need a tune up or your fuel filter is blocked with a newer car it could be electronic sensors that have failed.

Either: Your car does not want to go where you are headed and needs you to pick a different route or destination. Or you need to check the gas lines and air intake. Try adding "dry gas" or changing the air filter.
