A 1 year old is still developing a immune system. Your child probably has a low immune system, but it will build up as time goes on.

When children are young their immune systems aren't as strong as our are. They are more likely to get sick with colds and other illnesses than most adults are. If you think your child is getting sick more than other kids his age you should contact his pediatrician to see his opinion on it.

It is very common for infants and one year olds to get many colds as they have not developed an immune system as of yet.
