You don't have enough RAM. Turn off every other program/application. Work carefully, and save your work often. Ideally, max out the RAM on your computer, or get a better one.

First at all, it depends on what operating system you have installed in your computer, in Windows you need to have a minimum of 850MB of available hard disk space, 256MB of RAM and an Intel Pentium III or 4 processor (among other specifications) if you don't have this features in your PC the program probably won't work correctly.

This can be problem with space on your drive. To run programs like that you must have 2-3 GB free space on your hard drive. Of course RAM memory is important too, minimum 2GB to stop freezing.

It is possible that it isn't InDesign CS2 isn't the cause of the problem, it could be that you system has been infected with some type of malware, or it could be a driver issue. You should try to update to the latest version for all hardware drivers, and run a system scan to make sure there's no malware.

InDesign CS2 will freeze if you do not have enough RAM of space on your computer. It could also be caused by malware.
