Why do the fish in my pond hide?

Fish are cold blooded animals and prefer to be in the deeper parts of the pond. Every so often the will come to the top or the bank searching for food. They also like to use things such as stumps, logs, and sticks for cover and to build "beds" around.

Many reasons like water is too hot due to sunlight, lack of oxygen etc. With the help of a pumped filter system can increase the oxygen content of the water.

I am not sure about this Question such that fish hides in the pond. Mostly if it feels not protective to the environment it may pretend to hide mostly won't.
