Why do some people expect others to go along with their requests but are willing to give no consideration to anyone else?

My son's wife is agreeable to requests he asks of her with regard to their baby. But he then argues with her when she asks him to, for example, not give the baby foods with artificial sugars.

Some people are selfish and inconsiderate, as well as superior and arrogant. It's called "egocentric." People are are egocentric expect to always have their way but have no regard for what anybody else wants or thinks.

I agree with all you said except the selfish part. He is very generous, always making sure everyone has what they want/need. Unless you mean a different kind of selfish. add a comment
