Whiteheads have many different causes and can be aggravated by many different factors, including genetics, stress, hormones, excess humidity in the air, overuse of pore-clogging cosmetics and physical irritants that can introduce bacteria into the pores. It differs for each person.

Whiteheads are caused by bacteria getting into the pores and then being blocked from coming back out, by possible dry skin, which cause the skin to tighten closing the pores. The body then tries to fight the bacteria and the mess after the battle is the puss in the whitehead.

Whiteheads are just normal oils from the skin collecting in your pores. Even if you wash your face often, you can still get them. Try using a special facial wash that is designed to break up oils and prevent acne, and especially wash your face after waking up or exercising.

White heads are trapped oils. Actually it is oils trapped in the pore of the skin. There is a vague connection between eating a diet too high in lipids(fat) and whiteheads. Steaming your face will help loosen them. Also try an exfolliating soap with a loofa sponge. Consider a deep cleaning facial mask to deep clean skin.
