It is possible you have an UTI(urinary tract infection). UTIs can be caused by a number of things but most often is treated with prescribed antibiotics. Over the counter remedys include cranberry juice and UTI pills.

That kind of pain is usually associated with a urinary tract infection, where bacteria irritate the urethra and cause inflamation. It's also possible for STD's to do the same thing.

It may be due to a Urinary Tract Infection. By the advice of your Urologist, culture your urine in a good laboratory. He can tell the reason. It may be due to presence of urine stone also. For more accurate diagnosis, the Doctor may advice for a scanning.

A person has a sharp pain while urinating because of the contents of the toxic chemicals in the urine. A lot of intake of water would ease the problem.
