Something is waking up your immune system and it is working to heal you. This could be an infection such as athlete's foot, a small injury you did not notice such as a glass splinter, or an allergic reaction to the fabric or detergent you use.

A virus, bacterial infection or parasite could cause red bumps on the soles of the feet. They should be checked by a healthcare professional.

A person can get red bumps on the bottom of their feet if their skin is irritated in some way. If a person's skin is exposed to extreme heat or cold, or if the skin is exposed to substances that its allergic to, these bumps can occur.

Red spots could be caused by a new pair of shoes causing blisters. If the red spots do not disappear shortly a podiatrist should be considered.
