You may have some cramping, particularly if you are not frequent in your movements, or if you strain. You may need to increase water, fruits and green vegetables. However, abdominal pain is not normal, and your abdomen is giving you a heads up that you need to see your doctor.

Can be from straining to much or that to much poop was sitting in one place for two long. Try increasing fiber and liquid intake. Exercise can also help with constipation. The last thing you want is a blockage. This is usually what is happening when someone says they have pain after a bowel movement.

Incomplete evacuation could be your problem. Meaning that you haven't cleaned out your bowel entirely. Or perhaps you wait too long between bowel movements and have pain afterward because of the large amount of stool.

Your abs could be sore from the strain of pushing during the bowel movement. You might need to add more fiber to your diet.
