Why do I have a bad pain after getting my teeth cleaned?

A good cleaning moves the teeth around slightly. Scrapping teeth can excite nerves and start them firing. If you are a tooth grinder, somebody who rarely flosses, or a teeth clencher, you will feel more discomfort than most.

Your moth was just poked at with sharp objects, your gum's have been scraped. It will feel weird and possibly painful for up to 48 hours after an exam.

Probaly because there was alot of tarter to be removed from your teeth. Walm salt water rinses will help the gums heal.

Tooth or oral infection, removal of skin tag, or swelling gums infection or left out particle in the gap of teeth are the reasons.
