There could be many reasons for cramping, a diet change may be the answer. Try adding more potassium to your diet. Eating bananas can help. You may also want to try drinking more water. Your water intake should be equal to half of your weight, but in ounces. so if you weigh 110 lbs, drink 55 oz of water.

Leg cramps are often a caused by a deficiency of potassium. They can also be the result of overuse of muscles. Get a blood test for potassium levels.

If your system is low in potassium, you can get severe leg cramps. A lot of tasty foods like bananas, potatoes, and oranges have a lot of potassium.

You are suffering from a vitamin deficiency or vascular problem. Try eating more bananas to increase your potassium levels. Low potassium can increase muscle cramps.
