Birds build nests so they can have a safe place to lay and hatch their eggs. Once the eggs have hacthed and the baby birds have grown, the nest is no longer needed. Birds may also sense danger in the surrounding area from predators and abandon thier nest, even before laying their eggs.

Birds generally make nest in a safer place. They are very alert about the safety of surroundings. When the work of nest is progressing, some of its enemies will observe it and watch the progress. The bird will smell it and abandon its nest before laying eggs.

Birds make nests to lay and then hatch their eggs. Once the little ones are hatched and grow up the nest is no longer required and hence abandoned.

they abandon their nest because they look for food to eat and they will be looking for grass to set up their nest on tree. they do not really abandon their nest unless a person is going to cut down the tree from below and the bird has to leave the nest there.
