Why are my Jetta's power steering parts leaking?

Most times if the power steering parts are leaking you should first take a look at the seal located behind the power steering pully. You should also take a look at the container that also house the power steering fluid because sometimes a hole will present itself there.

If is the pump itself then the are probably damaged in some way. If the connection are leaking then they were probably install incorrectly.

The power steering fluid goes into a resevoir at the top of the engine. If the leak is from one of the hoses that is easy to fix and pretty inexpensive. If the leak is in the engine or in the pump istelf then that is costly and time consuming.

you may have a loose or torn hose. also, the power steering has seals in it. the seals may be blown.
