If your cherry tree leaves are being eaten, you may have a pest such as cherry fruit flies, black cherry aphids, fruit tree leafrollers, or cherry slugs.

Your Cherry trees are being eaten because of the bugs in your area. Check to see what bugs are local and how you can control for them. Pesticides can be applied in order to prevent the trees from being eaten. Caterpillars may also be eating some of the leaves, but they will cause minimal damage.

You have a problem with either bugs or birds. If it is birds, you can hang pie tins on the tree to deture them. If it is bugs, you have to spray the trees with a pesticide. You could contact the local exterminator and they wouold be able to recommend something based on the area you live in.
